DJ O is a classically trained musician and DJ for nightclubs and private events. His musical career began in grade school and extended into high school. He was the lead alto saxophonist for the jazz band which finished top 5 in the state of New Jersey. This passion continued throughout college where he played in the “Pride of West Virginia, the Mountaineer Marching Band” at West Virginia University where he won a national championship collectively with his peers. Years later he was introduced to a DJ who hired and trained him as a professional. He started off by playing at smaller nightclubs and parties before eventually venturing to larger venues. Since then, he has been a part of the ClassKills team for over 10 years DJing nightclubs, television shows and private events both nationally and internationally.
He describes his musical style as open-format with influences from all genres including house, 90’s hip-hop, 2000’s hits, and latin music. Dj O has commonly been known to be a Jack of all Trades and states he loves to “take the crowd into a different direction by playing the song they didn’t know they wanted to hear and pushing the boundaries.” His performances are high-energy, diverse and relevant. Some of DJ O’s music inspirations include Kascade, A Tribe Called Quest, Michael Jackson, Tito Puente, Daft Punk, Biggie, Calvin Harris, Bruno Mars, and Disclosure. Some of his most notable achievements include becoming a resident DJ at Saturday Night Live, growing his presence in the private events industry by signing with SCE Event Group, and traveling to Latin America to DJ private parties
